Where to apply ? 

  Shed where the LCL cargo is lying.

How to apply ?

  Approach Asstt. Shed Supt./Shed Supdt.

How the submitted application is further processed ?

(i) CMC clerk endorsed the date of receipt of container and location of the container on P.T. copy of Bill of Entry

(ii) In forwarding register CHA mentions that the consignment is LCL Cargo. He enters the Bill of Entry and container particulars in the forwarding ledgers which are maintained at shed and presents the documents i.e. Bill of Lading or Agent Delivery Order, Port Trust and Customs copy of Bill of Entry and Shed Delivery Order

(iii) Shed Supdt./Asstt. Shed Supdt. checks the documents.   He puts the forwarding stamp on P.T. copy of Bill of Entry if the documents are in order.

(iv) Date of forwarding and running sr. no. of the forwarding book is written on Bill of Lading or Agent’s Delivery Order, Bill of Entry and Shed Delivery Order

(v) Shed Supdt. signs the forwarding endorsement and forwarding slips and handover both copy of Bill of Entry and forwarding slip to party.
