Deployment of private Watchmen in docks

Private watchmen are deployed in the port by CHA’s / Exporter / Importer to ensure more safety & security of their cargo. The application for deployment of private watchmen is to be made by the CHA / Exporter / Importer of the cargo concerned to the office of Dy. Traffic Manager ID / P & V Docks

Steps :
(i)	The request letter of CHA / Exporter / Importer along with a letter from the private watchmen contractor holding valid registration with MbPT furnishing details of cargo and location, should be made to Dy. Traffic Manager, ID / P&V Docks as the case may be.	Application Form
(ii)	Initially permission is granted for a period of 7 days and extended thereafter for 7 days at a time till clearance /shipment of cargoes.
(iii)	As per Dy. Traffic Manager, ID/ P&V Docks permission S/Supdt. concerned permits deployment of watchmen for the cargo.	Checklist
