Mumbai Port Trust’s Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities were initiated in Mumbai Port Trust based on the guidelines issued by the Ministry under letter dated 2.12.2011. By Resolution No. 163 dated 28.2.2012, the Board of Trustees of Port of Mumbai had decided that 3% of net profit, subject to a minimum of 3 crore, be allocated towards CSR fund from the year 2011-12 onwards. Accordingly, an allocation of 5.01 crore was made towards CSR in the year 2011-12.
