Shri Giriraj Singh Rathod assumed the charge as Manager (HR), Mumbai Port Authority with effect from 13.11.2023.Shri G.S. Rathod holds : (i) a graduation degree in Science, (ii) a post graduation degree in Social Work with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, (iii) a Honors degree in Law, (iv) Associateship in Shipping, (v) a degree of Master of Science in Maritime Affairs with specialization in Port Management from IMO’s World Maritime University, Sweden, (vi) MICS (Member of Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers) by examination, United Kingdom, and (vii) Certificate in Shipping from BIMCO (Baltic International Maritime Council), Denmark.

Shri Rathod was deputed to Maldives to deliver lectures to the students of Maldives Ports Limited enrolled for 'Diploma in Modern Port Management Program in the year 2013. He was nominated to Azerbaijan as a visiting Research Fellow to conduct a research on 'The Role of Azerbaijan- India Cooperation in Development of North-South and West-South Transportation Corridors between Asia and Europe' in the year 2019.

Shri Rathod was a visiting faculty for elective 'Industry and Industrial Worker' at Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work, Mumbai University and for 'Shipping and Commercial Law' to the students enrolled for PG Diploma/Fellowship in Shipping at Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping.

Before assuming the charge of the post of Manager (HR), Shri G.S. Rathod served in V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority as Secretary. Shri G.S. Rathod has a vast experience and wide exposure in Maritime Sector besides working in HR, Administration, Legal, Labour, Vigilance, Hospital Administration and Port reforms.
