Observance of National Unity Day
 

Under the aegis of Azzadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava, Central Industrial Security Force has organized a 2100 km long distance cycle rally from Trivendrum (Kerala) to Kevadiya (Gujrat) in observance of Birth anniversary of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel as "Rashtriya Ekata Diwas" (National Unity Day) .The Cycle Rally had started on 29th September and aimed to reach at Kevadia on 26th October via Kochi, Kojhikode, Kannur, Karad, Satara, Belagavi, Goa, Pune, Mumbai, Vapi, Navsari and other places, visiting and paying tributes at Prominent Places/Monuments related to the Freedom Struggle of India.The Cycle Rally team will witness the celebration of National Unity Day on 31 Oct at Kevadiya.

The Cycle Rally reached Mumbai on 20th October, 2021. On this Occasion of National Importance a Flag Off Ceremony was organized by MbPT today on 22nd Oct, 2021 @0930 hrs at Gateway of India.

The ceremony was attended by the dignitaries/guests mentioned below -

1. Sh. Rajeev Jalota, IAS Chairman Mumbai Port,

2. Sh. Hemanth Nagarale,IPS Commissioner of Police, Mumbai 

3. Sh.Anil Kumar, ADG CISF South,

4. Sh.K N Tripathy, IG CISF WS,

5. Sh. Deepak Sawnt, Addll. Commissioner South Region Mumbai.

6. Sh M K Sharma, DIG CISF/WZ and

7. Comdt / CISF.

On this occasion, MbPT also felicitated families of 02 freedom fighters.

Police Band was arranged on the occasion which displayed a wonderful tunes of Azadi songs.
